Snow-Capped

I captured this nature portrait, as well as "A Snowy Sketch", "Snowy Autumn Foliage", and "Snowy Treetops", in my backyard on November 11th, 2019. There was still a light snowfall happening when I captured this shot. What caught my eye was the fluffy, crystal-like texture of the snow, and how well it contrasted with the brown color of the leaves. I wanted to capture it at this time because it was in the middle of the evening and the available light was just bright enough to emphasize the snow without being to dark out.

Printed on Hahnemühle Torchon paper.
