In The Shade

I captured this landscape, along with "Riverside Aura", on November 4th, 2020. I photographed this image further downstream of the scenes in "Mystic Marsh" and "Riverside In Autumn" in Eagle Creek Township, Lake County, Indiana. Since the sky was very blue, which is my favorite element of this image, I wanted to photograph this scene in color. The sky is my favorite element of this image because of the way varying shades of blue blend together, along with the cirrus cloud formation. I wanted to capture the shadows on the trees and ground in the foreground to contrast with the bright colors in the sky and background to add a sense of depth to the image. I also wanted to capture the river because the deep, vivid blue color of the sky was reflecting off of the surface of the water, giving it the appearance of an ocean.

Printed on Hahnemühle Photo Rag Ultra Smooth paper and is unframed. Limited to 300 productions per size.

Available in 18" x 12", 24" x 16", 36" x 24", and 45" x 30" sizes.
