Riverside In Autumn

I captured this landscape image on October 29, 2020. I photographed this image in Eagle Creek Township, Lake County, Indiana not far from the scene in "Mystic Marsh". Since there were more autumn colors present, I decided to photograph this image in color. What caught my eye the most about this scene is the way the river that passes through it, plus the warm colors of the remaining autumn colors add a calming and relaxing feeling to the image. I added a small amount of saturation, vibrance, and "warm" white balance to better emphasize the colors. I also added sharpening to enhance the outlines of the trees and branches for better contrast with the overall bright autumn colors. As a final touch, I reduced the highlights of the sky to show the subtle outlines of the clouds as a backdrop.

Printed on Hahnemühle Bamboo paper and is unframed.
