Pine Tree Road

I captured this landscape image in Demotte, Indiana on June 2nd, 2017. While driving down this road in Demotte, Indiana, I came across a row of pine trees behind a wooden fence and decided to turn around to view the scene from a different angle. I captured this in black and white because all of the foliage was green and the pine trees blended in too well. In black and white, I wanted to capture the shadows in the pine trees since they contrast much better with the overall light tone of the entire image than color would have, and the fine details of the pine trees all the way down the row are visible as a result. I like the wooden fence because it gives this scene a good country-like theme.

Printed on Hahnemühle German Etching paper. Limited to 150 productions per size.
